This puzzle was crafted in partnership with Grasshopper Geography, who designed the striking map of Africa’s river basins using satellite images. This 342-piece puzzle features unique shapes such as a camel over the Sahara, a flamingo over the Great Rift Valley, and other iconic images representing important geographical features across the continent.
“If I have ever seen magic, it has been in Africa” – John Hemingway.
A large reversible raindrop-shaped piece in the heart of the puzzle significantly pays homage to our collaborator and has the Grasshopper Geography logo engraved on the back.
Experience the magic of multi-piece shapes with an elephant that only comes to life when the four pieces are put together, along with the beloved Flame Lily. Proceeds from this puzzle go directly to Hennops Revival, an organization that is tirelessly working towards the restoration of our precious waterways.

Frances –
This is one of the most interesting puzzles I have built. Relies as much on shape recognition as matching the image. The pieces are all weird and wonderful, and we loved finding animals and plants, either as a single piece or when multiple pieces come together. I was going to mount it when we completed it but it was such fun to build I’m going to break it up and build again.

Thanks so much for your review Frances! We are so glad you enjoyed it.

I loved building this puzzle. Don’t be fooled by the low piece count, it has the complexity and the challenge of a regular 1000 piece. It is full of surprises, making it a joy from start to end. A very enjoyable and satisfying build.
